John Conlon, CFA, CFP®, is a Senior Vice President and Director of Equity Strategy at People’s United Advisors. In his role, John directs the firm’s equity strategies and oversees the investment process. He also manages client accounts, and leads and serves on various investment committees.
John has been quoted in articles on CNN, NBC News, Institutional Investor, Kiplinger and Reuters.
Highly active in his community, John is a member and past President of the Manchester Rotary Club in Vermont. He also serves on the Board of the Center for Restorative Justice in Bennington, Vermont, and the Board for the Vermont Catholic Community Foundation. Additionally, John has been a member of the Financial Services Advisory Board to the State of Vermont, as well as a member of the Financial Services Advisory Board of the Institute for Financial Services at Champlain College. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Vermont, where he previously served as Director and President.
Prior to joining People’s United in 2008, John held positions at Blackford Securities, EF Hutton and C.J. Lawrence. Before entering the investment industry, he worked as a research scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California.
John holds a B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia and completed post-graduate studies at Stanford University. He also earned an MBA from Santa Clara University.
