Bruce B. Murray is a Senior Institutional Trust Officer and the primary Relationship Manager for People’s United’s non-profit institutional clients. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and 15 years working exclusively with non-profits such as community service organizations, endowments, foundations, pension plans, sovereign wealth, healthcare organizations, and municipalities. He has been with the firm since 2014.
Prior to that, Bruce was a Senior Relationship Manager at GE Asset Management, where he served institutional clients located in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Middle East and was Client Manager for all GEAM International Private Equity investors. Before GE, Bruce was a Director at Commonfund where he worked with institutional non-profits.
Bruce earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 31 licenses. He has been a featured presenter on the topics of asset allocation and spending at non-profit conferences including PAISBOA, Council for Resource Development, and abacc. Bruce is currently Board Treasurer of the Housatonic Community College Foundation, where he chairs the Finance and Investment Committees. He is active in community theatre and has coached PONY baseball and Sterling House Youth basketball and soccer.
