People’s United Community Foundation Awards Nearly $950k During Second Grant Cycle Of 2021
Grants Awarded to 164 Non-profits Across the Northeast
BRIDGEPORT, CT — People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, N.A., announced that it has awarded $948,500 during its second grant cycle of 2021 to 164 non-profits throughout its footprint, covering Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
The Foundation's grant support has been a vital funding source for nonprofit organizations, who have suffered substantial financial and operational challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated disruptions.
Grants awarded during this second funding cycle of 2021 will continue to support organization operations and the fulfillment of much needed resources, including food aid, small business assistance, academic support and mentoring programs, as well as homelessness prevention, supportive housing, and employment services, among other initiatives.
