People's United Mobile Banking lets you bank wherever and whenever you want, right from your mobile device.

You can choose our Mobile App, Mobile Web Banking or Text Banking, depending on your own personal preferences and your phone capabilities.

 Mobile and Tablet App

Our Mobile App allows for quick login to manage your account while on the go. Use your Smartphone, iPad®, iTouch®, tablet, etc. to manage your accounts. Download our Mobile App from the Apple® App Store, Google® Play Store, or Amazon® App Store.

    Step 1 - Download the Mobile App

    • From your mobile device download the app from Apple iTunes® or Google Play Store®

    Step 2 – Login

    • Enter your User ID and password - click continue
    • If you'd like your device to remember your User ID, select "Save my User ID"
    • On your first login through Mobile Banking you will be prompted to enter your first and last name and date of birth
    • You will be presented with 3 multiple choice challenge questions that you will need to answer
    • Accept our Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions
    • Register your mobile phone number and click enroll
 Mobile Web

Mobile web allows you to access your account from your mobile device. Mobile web is ideal for devices that allow you to search the web, such as phones with web browsers like Safari or Google Chrome - but do not allow you to download mobile apps. Simply visit from your mobile device and sign in to your People's United online account.

  • How to enroll your mobile device
    • To enroll for mobile web banking, you must have a People's United Online Banking profile
    • From your mobile device visit
    • Choose an option from the Mobile Banking menu (View Accounts, Pay Bills or Transfer Funds)
    • Accept our Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions
    • Enter your Online Banking User ID
    • Answer the challenge questions that you established for online banking
    • If you'd like your device to remember your User ID, select "remember this device"
    • Verify your Security Image and enter your password
    • Enter your mobile phone and click submit

    For future visits, visit, choose an option from the menu and login with your Online Banking login credentials.


 Text Banking - with Quick Balance

Text banking is available for customers who have phones that allow text messaging, but do not connect to the Internet. To get started, log in to your online banking profile at to register your mobile phone. Look for the 'Manage mobile banking settings' link on the left-hand side of the 'Accounts' page once you've logged in to online banking.

  • How to enroll into text banking

    Please Note: To enroll for mobile banking, you must disable pop-up blockers from your computer.

    Step 1 - Enroll Your Mobile Device

    • Login to your online banking account from your computer and choose "Manage mobile banking settings" from the Accounts summary page or from the Customer Service tab
    • A secondary window will display the Mobile Banking Center page
    • Click "Enroll another mobile device"
    • Enter a 10-digit mobile device phone number
    • Select the appropriate Mobile Carrier for the mobile device being enrolled
    • Select "View Terms and Conditions to Proceed"
    • Review agreement and select that you agree
    • Click Accept
    • Click "Continue" button

    Step 2 – Select Mobile Banking Options

    • If you wish to use only text message banking, select "Text" and uncheck the mobile banking option.
    • The page will refresh with activation code (You will need the activation code in Step 3).

    Step 3 – SMS/Text Activation Code and Instructions

    • You must use your mobile device to complete step 3.
    • Please respond to SMS text message with the activation code displayed within Online Banking.
    • You will receive a text message indicating activation was successful.

    Your activation code will expire after 24 hours

  • How to enroll into text banking

    It’s easy – once you have enrolled – just send the following to our Text Banking number 84421:

    • Quick Balance – Text a “B” to 84421
    • Quick History – Text an “H” to 84421
    • List of Text Banking commands - Text a “C” to 84421
    • Help content for Text Banking - Text a “HE” to 84421
    • Receive a URL for the Mobile website - Text a “L” to 84421
    • Receive a URL and new activation code for the Mobile website - Text a “R” to 84421
    • De-activate all text services - Text a “S” to 84421

Security is our focus
Our mobile banking service utilizes the best practices from online banking, such as HTTPS, 128-bit SSL encryption, PIN, or password access and application time-out when your phone is not in use. Only the phone(s) and/or devices that you personally enroll in the service can access your accounts. In addition, no account data is ever stored on your phone.
