I joined People's United Bank as a part-time teller while I was in college. Many co-workers were extremely helpful and guided me along my career path. I was very fortunate to have managers who coached me on the different aspects of the banking. I observed several co-workers being promoted in my first six months with the bank and my managers always took the time to celebrate their successes. Working at People's United Bank, I have always been given support in developing my skills to provide a
superior Customer Experience to our banking customers. Many senior level employees have guided me and provided
help when needed. People's United Bank is continually providing us with the tools to excel in our position and
many training sessions are offered. The training from the senior level employees has been invaluable. I will
always be grateful to my co-workers and managers for being so supportive and willing to share their expertise.
Our work environment is very positive and I know that my manager is always available to help me with anything I
might need to improve our business and continue my personal growth. I am also encouraged to get involved in the
community which I do by volunteering and being an active member in the Orange Chamber of commerce. My community
involvement has helped me understand the needs and challenges of the local business community and I am able to

I started as a part time Data Entry Clerk as I worked my way through school. What I didn't realize back then was the amazing career I would build right here at People's United - no need to leave! I have had a tremendous journey working in Operations, Mortgage Origination, Branch Management, Human Resources and now Commercial Banking. I began my career as a Retail Management Trainee. After completing the program I worked for Retail Banking as a branch manager in both Traditional and Stop & Shop branches for 6 years.
Wanting a new challenge and having the desire to help others learn, in 2002 I applied for and was hired into the next chapter of my career at People's United as a Training Specialist in Regional Banking Training. I really enjoyed this position as it allowed me to use my experience as a branch manager to help others learn about “life” in the retail branch world! Opportunity again knocked on the door in 2007 when a position opened in Learning & Development as a Program Manager. This allowed me to grow beyond retail specific training and build capabilities around leadership development, performance management and diversity. Finally, in 2011, I accepted the role of Manager of Talent Management which oversees the practices associated with performance management and talent planning through out the organization.
Working for People's United has provided me with many opportunities both inside and outside the organization.

Joined in 1978
I was hired as a part-time teller while attending college. I really enjoyed working with customers in a team environment. After graduating, I got a full-time job with the bank and was accepted into the Retail Management Training Program. I served in various management positions throughout our branch banking network. In 1991, I joined our Residential Mortgage Department as a Processing Team manager. This gave me the opportunity to develop new skills. After 10 years in the mortgage area I took a project management position in our Consumer Deposit Products Department. In 2004 I returned to Regional Banking as a Vice President - Customer Service Manager in our Woodbridge office.
