People's United Makes Mobile Check Deposit a Snap
BRIDGEPORT, CT – People’s United Bank recently introduced a mobile check deposit feature to its mobile banking services. Retail banking customers can now deposit checks just by snapping a photo of the front and back of the endorsed check and using a free smartphone app to deposit it.
The free service allows iPhone and Android smartphone users to log in to their account using the People’s United Mobile App, select “Deposit” and follow the simple steps to complete the deposit. The apps are available at Apple’s iTunes store or the Google Play store.
“We understand the importance of convenience and security to our customers,” said Pete Scotch, Senior Vice President, Product Management and Development. “The ability to do your banking anytime and anywhere along with the security of an immediate email confirmation that the check has been successfully deposited are both important benefits. We encourage customers to visit peoples.com and click on “Mobile Banking” at the top of the page to learn more about all our mobile banking features, view a demo video and download the Mobile Check Deposit app.”
