People's United Bank To Open Sixth Westchester County Office In Bronxville

BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
– People’s United Bank will open its sixth branch in Westchester County in Bronxville at 111 Kraft Avenue on April 6.

People’s United opened its first Westchester County office in June, 2007 in Scarsdale, followed by a second office in Mt. Kisco in October, 2007, a third office in White Plains in June, 2008, and a fourth office in Thornwood in October, 2008 and a fifth in Mamaroneck in December, 2009.

“We’re pleased to announce the expansion of our franchise in Westchester County,” said Stephen Shealy, vice president and senior market manager for the People’s United Westchester County market. “As the largest independent bank in New England and one of the strongest banks in the nation, People’s United is looking forward to serving the financial needs of even more Westchester County residents in our new Bronxville office.”

People’s United will offer a full range of banking services in Bronxville, from retail products, to commercial loans, to payroll processing, merchant services, business credit cards, 401k administration services, financial advisory and wealth management and trust services.

The branch will feature a 24-hour ATM, a free self-service coffee bar, complete with a stock quotation machine so customers can check on their investments, a free self-serve coin-counting machine, and plasma television sets airing financial news networks.

Stephanie Weston will manage the branch. Weston knows the Bronxville market well, having been with Bank of New York/Mellon in this exact office for five years and in Southern Westchester County for more than 20 years. She also holds a New York life and health insurance producers license. She resides in Mamaroneck.

Because of its 169-year history in supporting the communities it serves, People’s United always makes a donation to a local charity when it opens a new branch. In Bronxville, People’s United will make a $1,000 contribution to the Community Fund.
