Charitable Giving

People's United provides charitable contributions in two ways: Initiatives funded through People's United Bank and grants awarded to eligible nonprofit organizations through the bank's community foundations.

Bank Giving

Requests for donations, including event sponsorships and program ads, are accepted through People's United Bank's Community Relations Department. To submit a request, please send a completed People’s United Bank Donation/Sponsorship Request form, along with supporting documentation, to CommunityRelations@peoples.com

To help expedite your request, include the name of your organization, and the geographic area (City, and State) it serves in the email subject line. Please allow 6-8 weeks for review and processing.

Since 1842, we have invested our time, funds and talent to address the needs of our communities through the support of hundreds of organizations across our footprint. Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming number of requests that we receive each year, we are unable to provide funding support to every request we receive.

Foundation Giving

People's United Bank foundations act as philanthropic arms for the bank. The People's United Community Foundation and the People's United Community Foundation of Eastern Massachusetts invest in programs that enhance the quality of life for our friends and neighbors living in the communities we serve.

People's United Community Foundation

People's United Bank established the People's United Community Foundation in 2007.  The People's United Community Foundation supports 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations through its grant application and award process. Its primary areas of focus are community development, youth development, and affordable housing. For more information regarding People's United Community Foundation and to apply for a grant, please visit the foundation website at www.pucf.org.

People's United Community Foundation of Eastern Massachusetts

People's United Community Foundation of Eastern Massachusetts provides funding to eligible nonprofit organizations within various communities of Eastern Massachusetts. Formerly the Danversbank Charitable Foundation, the primary areas of focus include social, health, youth services, education, affordable housing, cultural, and low- to moderate-income individuals.
