Get Started With Mobile Banking

To enroll for Mobile Banking, you must have a People's United Online Banking profile.

Choose the mobile option that's right for your device and mobile needs:

Mobile App

For phones with App Stores like Apple®, Google Play™ Store® and BlackBerry®

Step 1 - Download the Mobile App

  • From your mobile device,visit m.peoples.com or download the App from Apple iTunes® or Google Play Store

Step 2 – Login

  • Login to your account using your online banking credentials
  • Answer the challenge questions that you established for online banking and provide your phone number.
  • If you’d like your device to remember your user name, select “remember this device”
  • Click Submit
  • Security image will appear, log in as you do for online banking

iPad® App

Step 1 - Download the iPad App

  • From your iPad open Apple's App Store.
  • Search for People's United Bank, and download the App

Step 2 – Login

  • Login to your account using your online banking credentials
  • Answer the challenge questions that you established for online banking.
  • If you'd like your device to remember your user name, select "remember this device"
  • Security image will appear, log in as you do for online banking

Mobile Web

For phones with web browsers like Windows and other feature phones.

Step 1 - Enroll your mobile device

  • From your mobile device visit mobi.peoples.com
  • Choose an option from the Mobile Banking menu (View Accounts, Pay Bills or Transfer Funds)
  • Accept our Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions
  • Enter your Online Banking User ID

Step 2 - Login

  • Answer the challenge questions that you established for online banking
  • If you'd like your device to remember your User ID, select "remember this device"
  • Verify your Security Image and enter your password
  • Enter your mobile phone and click submit

For future visits, visit mobi.peoples.com, choose an option from the menu and login with your Online Banking login credentials.

Text Banking


For all phones that support Text Messaging.

To enroll for mobile banking, you must disable pop-up blockers from your computer.

Step 1 - Enroll your mobile device

  • Login to your online banking account from your computer and choose “Manage mobile banking settings” from the Accounts summary page or from the Customer Service tab
  • A secondary window will display the Mobile Banking Center page
  • Click “Add Phone”
  • Enter a 10 digit mobile device phone number
  • Select the appropriate Mobile Carrier for the mobile device being enrolled
  • Select the “I accept the Terms and Conditions of Use” check box
  • Click “Continue” button

Step 2 – Select Mobile Banking Options

  • If you wish to use only text message banking, select “Text” and uncheck the mobile banking option
  • Page will refresh with activation code (You will need the activation code in Step 3)

Step 3 – SMS/Text Activation Code and Instructions

  • You must use your mobile device to complete step 3.
  • Respond to SMS text message with the activation code displayed on the mobile banking site
  • You will receive a text message indicating activation was successful

Your activation code will expire after 24 hours
