What is my User ID and/or Password for the People's United Mobile Banking app?
Your Mobile Banking User ID and Password is the same as your Online Banking User ID and Password. If you do not have a User ID and Password, visit www.peoples.com to enroll.
What security measures are used with the Mobile Banking app?
Our mobile banking service utilizes the best practices from online banking, such as HTTPS, 256-bit SSL encryption, PIN, or password access and application time-out when your phone is not in use. Only the phone(s) and/or devices that you personally enroll in the service can access your accounts. In addition, no account data is ever stored on your phone.
What is Touch ID?
Touch ID allows you to securely sign into the People's United Mobile Banking app using your fingerprint stored on your iPhone5S or higher on iOS8 or higher. This feature allows you quick access to all Mobile Banking features just by using your fingerprint.
What is the task menu "+" used for?
The new task menu, "+", is where you will find the ability to deposit checks, pay bills, make a transfer or send a Person-2-Person payment.
How do I find a nearby People's United Bank branch?
Select 'Locations' from the task menu, tap the 'Filter' icon and then select 'Branch'. The resulting map or list displays up to 10 of the closest People's United Bank branches.
Can I pay a bill using the Mobile Banking app?
Not only can you initiate a bill pay, but you can review recent bill pay activity, view payment details and maintain existing or create new payees.
Is Person-2-Person Pay available using the Mobile Banking app?
Yes. Once enrollment into the Person-2-Person Pay service is completed using Online Banking you can then use Mobile Banking to send payments.
What are Card Controls?
Card Controls allow you to control how and where your debit card is used. You can Enable/Disable a debit card for use, restrict card usage to specific types of Merchants and/or Transaction Types, set Transaction Limits and restrict card use to specific geographical regions.
How do I enroll my debit cards for Card Controls?
Sign in using the People's United Mobile Banking app, select 'Cards Controls' from the 'More' menu and you will be presented with a list of your eligible debit cards that you can add to Card Controls.
Can I disable my debit card for use if I have lost or misplaced my card?
Yes, once enrolled in Card Controls select the desired card and slide Enable card for use into the off position to disable. If unauthorized activity has occurred, please contact our support team immediately at 1-800-525-9248.
