Charitable Giving

People's United provides charitable contributions through the bank and our two charitable foundations.

The Bank

To make a positive difference in our communities, we support the important work of nonprofit organizations through charitable donations and cause-related sponsorships. Funding by People’s United Bank ranges from localized food drives, school events, 5k races, marathons and others, to annual company-wide initiatives including:

  • The United Way
  • The American Red Cross
  • Go Red
  • Project Pink

Our Foundations

Two charitable foundations support the communities where People’s United conducts business with grants for nonprofit programs and services. Their overall mission is to:

  • Enhance the quality of life for residents
  • Promote the economic development and well-being of neighborhoods
  • Support the educational and developmental needs of children and youth
