People's Bank Brings Revolutionary
Financial Superstore to Shelton

Invest, Borrow, Bank at People's Financial Center

SHELTON, CONN.
People’s Bank is converting its branch at 1000 Bridgeport Avenue into its newest People’s Financial Center. To celebrate, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday, June 20, at 6 p.m.

The People’s Financial Center is a revolutionary financial superstore that brings together the bank’s diversified array of financial products and services in one convenient location. The People's Financial Center makes it easy for customers to do everything from personal banking to financial planning and from stock trading to commercial banking.

The Shelton office is the seventh People’s Financial Center in the bank’s network;the first one opened in Trumbull in 1999.

“This is a hands-on branch where customers can get answers to any financial questions from experts on the premises,” said Robert R. D’Amore, executive vice president, Marketing and Regional Banking, at People’s. “Anything and everything customers need to manage their finances can be found at this People’s Financial Center.”

As its name implies, the Shelton People’s Financial Center does not look like a traditional bank branch. It has a Welcome Desk, where customers can determine where to take their business within the center, or get their questions about banking, borrowing and investing answered. In the teller area, customers can perform all their banking transactions. And at the Investment Desk, they can meet with a specialist from People’s Securities, Inc., People’s brokerage subsidiary, to get advice or buy and sell stock.

The People’s Financial Center concept provides customers more of the extras that go along with managing their finances. Television monitors are tuned to news channels providing up-to-the-minute news and information, including continuous stock tickers. In addition, there is a computer terminal available to provide real-time stock quotes.

All of these banking and investing features and services are available in the Shelton People’s Financial Center Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. There is a drive-up window open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. There is also an ATM in the branch’s vestibule for 24-hour banking.

The public is invited to visit People's Financial Center Managers John Galaty and Maureen Patino and learn about People’s wide range of products and services, including banking, investing and borrowing.
