People's Names Brian F. Dreyer
Executive Vice President

Assumes Responsibility for Commercial Banking

BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
Brian F. Dreyer has been named executive vice president, Commercial Banking, at People’s Bank. Dreyer directs all commercial loan and commercial mortgage lending at the bank, including credit administration, asset-based lending, small business, correspondent banking, cash management, international commercial services and trust services.

Dreyer succeeds Louis J. Ulizio, who retired.

A veteran Connecticut commercial banker, Dreyer has been with People’s since 1991 when he joined the bank as senior vice president, Commercial Lending. During his tenure, People’s commercial loan portfolio has grown 150 percent to $1.2 billion while its cash management and commercial deposits have more than doubled. Dreyer has been instrumental in expanding People’s commercial lending business throughout the state and beyond and in broadening its services to include a national leasing company, People’s Capital and Leasing, which in 2000 grew average loans by 88 percent.

Prior to joining People’s, Dreyer was executive vice president and senior lending officer at First Constitution, responsible for that bank’s Commercial Lending and Commercial Mortgage divisions. Dreyer was also senior vice president and manager for Commercial Lending at Bank of Boston, where he managed international cash management and workout departments, as well as five regions.

Dreyer is a graduate of Boston University and is a U.S. Army veteran. He and his family live in Woodbridge.
