People's United Bank Opens Third Westchester County Office In White Plains

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's United Bank will open its third branch in Westchester County at 14 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains on Monday, June 30.

People's United opened its first Westchester County office in June, 2007 in Scarsdale, followed by a second office in Mt. Kisco in October, 2007.

The new White Plains office is in the heart of the downtown area and directly across the street from the new Ritz-Carlton tower.

"Westchester and Fairfield Counties are very similar," said Stephen Shealy, vice president and market manager for the new People's United Westchester County market. "They have similar demographics, are similar in population size, and have a similar look and feel. We pride ourselves on an exemplary customer experience. That is what has made us successful and unique from the competition in Fairfield County and in our two Westchester locations. We expect it will also differentiate us from our competitors in White Plains."

People's United will offer a full range of banking services in White Plains, from retail products, to commercial loans, to financial advisory and wealth management and trust services.

The branch will feature a free self-service coffee bar, complete with cafétables and a stock quotation machine so customers can check on their investments, a free self-serve coin-counting machine, and plasma television sets airing financial news networks.

Anthony Cortese, a seasoned banker, will manage the White Plains office. Sendy Djeljevic will be customer service manager in the branch, which will have a total staff of six employees.
