People's United Bank Opens Second Westchester County Office in Mt. Kisco

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's United Bank will open its second branch outside Connecticut at 14 South Moger Avenue in the town of Mt. Kisco on October 15.

The Mt. Kisco office is the second of 15 Westchester County offices the bank plans to open by the end of 2009. When all of these branches are open, People's United Bank could employ up to 100 people in Westchester County.

People's United Bank was founded in Fairfield County in 1842. "Westchester and Fairfield Counties are very similar," said Stephen Shealy, vice president and market manager for the new People's United Westchester County market. "They have similar demographics, are similar in population size, and have a similar look and feel. We pride ourselves on an exemplary customer experience. That is what has made us successful and unique from the competition in Fairfield County. We expect it will also differentiate us from our competitors in Westchester County."

People's United will offer a full range of banking services in Mt. Kisco, from retail products, to commercial loans, to financial advisory and wealth management and trust services.

Suzanne Siebert, a seasoned banker, will manage the Mt. Kisco office. Ramon Carrasquillo will be customer service manager in the branch, which will have a total staff of five employees.

Founded in 1842, People's United Bank (www.peoples.com) is a subsidiary of People's United Financial, Inc, a bank holding company with assets of $14 billion. People's United Bank has more than 240 ATMs and 160 branches in Connecticut and New York, 75 of which offer convenient seven-day banking in Super Stop & Shop locations in Connecticut. A diversified financial services company, People's United Bank provides consumer, commercial, insurance, brokerage, financial advisory and trust services to personal and business banking customers. People's United recently announced its intention to acquire the Chittenden Corporation, which has offices in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.
