Cheever has been promoted to first vice president and senior financial officer in the bank's Finance Division. In this position, Cheever will be responsible for providing financial support and consultation to senior and executive bank management in the Consumer Financial Services, Commercial Banking and Regional Banking divisions. Cheever joined People's Bank in 1984 as a staff auditor. She has earned increasingly responsible positions within the bank, having served as vice president for the Internal Audit function and vice president and manager of Financial Analysis and Accounting Policies before assuming the role as vice president and senior financial officer in Corporate Finance. A resident of Monroe, Cheever is married and has one son. Active in her community, Cheever is a member of the board of directors and the finance committee for Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut. Cheever is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
