Richard Poirier Promoted To Assistant Vice President At RC Knox & Company

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - RC Knox & Company, a subsidiary of People's Bank, announced today that Richard Poirier has been promoted to assistant vice president of the Risk Management Services division. In his new position, Poirier will be responsible for directing and coordinating client-based risk management services as well as on-site client risk management support, training and auditing.

Poirier joined RC Knox & Company in 2001 as manager of loss control administration. He since has been responsible for property and casualty risk management for commercial accounts. Prior to joining RC Knox & Company, Poirier spent 10 years at The Traveler's Insurance Co. and three years with EBI Insurance.

Poirier holds a bachelor's and master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. He serves as a United Way volunteer and has coached youth baseball and basketball. Additionally, Poirier serves as co-chair for St. Gabriel School's Golf Tournament committee.

Poirier resides in Windsor with his wife and two children.
