Robert C. O'Connor Promoted To Senior Vice President At Beardsley Brown & Bassett

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - RC Knox & Company, a subsidiary of People's Bank, announced today that Robert C. O'Connor has been promoted to senior vice president and director at the Beardsley Brown & Bassett division of RC Knox & Company. O'Connor will continue to work in the Commercial Insurance division of the company assisting clients with property and casualty insurance needs as well as overseeing new business sales development responsibilities.

O'Connor joined Beardsley, Brown & Bassett in 1990 as a sales associate responsible for providing sales, service and risk management for commercial accounts. Prior to his new position, O'Connor spent the past eight years as a vice president in the company's Commercial Insurance division.

O'Connor holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Boston College. He also earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2001. O'Connor serves on the boards of directors for Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut and the Fairfield YMCA. He also serves as a Junior Achievement "Project Business" volunteer and youth hockey coach for the Greater Bridgeport Youth Hockey Association.

O'Connor resides in Fairfield with his wife and two children.
