W. Bruce Murray, Jr. Promoted To Senior Vice President At RC Knox & Company

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - RC Knox & Company, a subsidiary of People's Bank, announced today that W. Bruce Murray, Jr. has been promoted to senior vice president in the Commercial Insurance division. In his new position, Murray will be responsible for the commercial sales, production, servicing and risk management of middle market and large commercial accounts with a specialization in emerging industries, high technology, environmental and manufacturing risks.

Murray joined RC Knox in 1987 as a commercial sales representative. Most recently, he was vice president in the company's Commercial Insurance Division where he managed mid-sized and large accounts.

Murray holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University in Villanova, PA and a master's of business administration with a concentration in finance from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Murray serves on the board of directors for the Channel 3 Country Camp and is a member of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church's Finance committee. Additionally, Murray serves as regional advisor for the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Murray, a native of Philadelphia, PA, currently resides in Avon with his wife and four children.
