People's Bank To Open New Office In Westport

Fourth Westport Location Offers Full-Range of Financial Services and Two Drive-up Lanes

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - This summer, People's Bank will open its fourth office in Westport. Located on Post Road West, directly adjacent to the Wild Oats supermarket, the new branch will occupy one of three storefronts in a plaza to be known as White Birch Plaza. John's Best Pizza, a Westport institution that currently occupies the site, will be one of the tenants. The third tenant has yet to be announced.

People's new 2,800-square foot office will feature two convenient drive-up lanes, a 24-hour vestibule ATM and safe deposit boxes. The branch also features a free self-service coffee bar, coin counting machine and plasma television that will continuously air financial news.

The 10,000 square foot plaza was designed by the Sullivan Architectural Group of Norwalk. It is in the Nantucket shingle style.

People's three other branches are located at: 1800 Post Road East;in the Greens Farms Super Stop & Shop;1800 Post Road & Bulkely Avenue;and at 371 Post Road East. The 371 Post Road East office is currently open and under renovation. When renovations are complete, the office also will feature two drive-up lanes and will be totally refurbished inside and out.
