Shealy And Spezzano, Greenwich Natives, To Manage Fifth People's Bank Office In Town

Wealth Management & Trust and Commercial officers to serve customers locally

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's Bank has opened a new branch in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich at 119 East Putnam Avenue, and two Greenwich natives will manage the office. The 5,000 square foot office will house Regional Banking, Commercial Banking and Wealth Management & Trust service professionals. It also features a driveup lane, an ATM, commercial night deposit, safe deposit services, a free self-service coin counting machine and ample parking.

"This is People's fifth branch in Greenwich, and its first in the Cos Cob section of town," noted Vincent Santilli, first vice president for the bank's Greater Fairfield County region. "We're pleased to make banking with People's even more convenient for those who live or work in town."

Santilli announced that Stephen Shealy, market manager for People's offices in Greenwich, will serve as the financial services manager for the new branch, and David Spezzano will be the branch's customer service manager.

Shealy joined People's in 1997 and has served as a manager in the bank's Greenwich Avenue office in Greenwich and in the bank's Summer Street and Shippan offices in Stamford. An attorney, Shealy graduated from the Quinnipiac College School of Law with a Juris Doctor, and from Ohio Wesleyan University, with a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Government. He is a graduate of Greenwich High School. Active in the Greenwich community, Shealy is a board member of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Greenwich Kiwanis Club and a member of the Greenwich Bar Association.

A Greenwich native, Shealy is a also a member of the Connecticut and New York Bar Associations. He holds his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers, and a license to sell life insurance in Connecticut. He is an accredited asset management specialist from the College for Financial Planning.

A current Greenwich resident and also a Greenwich native, David Spezzano will serve as customer service manager in the Cos Cob office. Before joining the new office, Spezzano was the customer service manager for the People's Bank office in Riverside. Spezzano joined People's in 2002.

Also a graduate of Greenwich High School, Spezzano earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from Hamilton College. He holds his Series 6 license from the National Association of Securities Dealers and is licensed to sell Savings Bank Life Insurance. Spezzano is a board member of the Scarecrow Festival, an event of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce.

The lobby of the new office will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The drive-up teller lane will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
