People's Bank To Present Homebuyer Education Program

WHAT:
People's Bank will present "Unlocking the Possibilities of Home Ownership," a free, four-part educational series. The series will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Topics include: "Pathway to Homeownership: A Step-by-Step Overview;" "The Mortgage Pre-Qualification Process and the Importance of Planning and Budgeting;" "Understanding Your Credit Profile and Financing Your New Home;" and "Selecting a Home and the Home Inspection."

WHY:
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a "First-Time Homebuyer Education Certificate," which is required by many state and federally subsidized mortgage lending programs. These programs may offer participants reduced interest rates, discounted closing costs and/or low down-payment options.

WHO:
People's Bank Homebuyer Education Manager and Homebuyer Instructor Daniel Resto Guest speakers will include Carolina Preciado, Century 21 Roman Realty, Pro Check Home Inspection Services and a local real estate attorney.

WHEN:
Tuesday, October 4 and October 11;Thursday, October 6 and October 13. All classes start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
