PEOPLE'S BANK OPENS SECOND, SEVEN-DAY BANKING BRANCH IN FAIRFIELD

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's Bank will open a new full-service branch in the Villa Avenue Super Stop & Shop in Fairfield on Thursday, August, 25. The branch will be the bank's second location providing full, seven-day, in-person service to Fairfield customers.

This is the bank's 68th supermarket branch. It will have five customer service stations, a night deposit box and an office in which customers may apply for a mortgage or home equity loan, invest funds or open a checking or savings account.

"We're pleased to offer a second, seven-day banking location to our customers who live or shop in Fairfield," said Anthony I. Petrazzuoli, Fairfield market manager. "People's customers enjoy the convenience supermarket banking provides. Since all of us must shop for groceries, we couldn't think of a better venue in which to open our second, seven-day banking office in Fairfield."

The office will be staffed by ten financial services professionals: two managers, five full-time and three part-time service associates.

Edward Woods and Amanda Braiotta will serve as assistant service managers of the new branch. Both Woods and Braiotta joined People's as management trainees in 2004.

The new Fairfield office will be open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
