PEOPLE'S BANK TO OPEN NEW OFFICE IN FAIRFIELD AT INTERSECTION OF THE POST ROAD AND BEACH ROAD

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's Bank will open its sixth office in Fairfield on Monday, January 31, offering a full range of financial services and technological innovations while providing the convenience of a premier location at the intersection of the Post Road/US1 and Beach Road.

People's new office will feature three drive-up lanes including one ATM and two teller windows. The new location, one of the bank's largest branches, provides office space for clients of People's Financial Advisors and wealth management and trust professionals.

The office features a free self-service coin machine, which allows customers to count loose change and receive a disbursement at the teller window. It also offers a free self-service coffee bar, a stock quote machine for real-time investment information and three plasma television sets airing financial news. The office, with a generous parking area, will also have a commercial night depository box and safe deposit boxes.

Marilyn Wiegman, a Fairfield resident, will serve as the financial services manager for the new office, with a focus on helping customers determine the financial products and services that best meet their changing financial needs. Wiegman has nine years of banking experience with People's, seven of those years in the Fairfield area. She holds Series 6 and 63 securities licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers and is licensed to sell life insurance and mortgage products.

Robert King, also a Fairfield resident, will serve as the customer service manager for the new office, with responsibility for ensuring the highest quality experience possible for People's customers. King has 30 years of banking experience with People's, all in the Fairfield area. He also holds Series 6 and 63 securities licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers and is licensed to sell life insurance and mortgage products.

All accounts from the bank's branch at 837 Post Road will be transferred to the new location where the same courteous and knowledgeable bankers from the 837 Post Road office will serve People's customers.

The lobby of the new office will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The two drive-up teller lanes will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The drive-up ATM is available 24 hours daily.
