Lynne Norris Joins People's Bank As Vice President In Stamford Commercial Lending Office

Norris has Specialty in Lending to Not-for-Profit Institutions and will have Fairfield and Westchester Counties as Territory

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - Lynne Norris has joined People's Bank as a vice president in the Stamford Commercial Lending office. Norris will be responsible for lending to mid-sized companies in Fairfield and Westchester counties. She also specializes in lending to not-for-profit institutions, a niche market.

Norris joins People's Bank from Wachovia Bank in New York City and McLean, Virginia, where, from 2000 to 2004, she was a vice president in the Tax-Exempt Group, responsible for business development and relationship management for not-for-profit institutions. In the not-for-profit sector, Norris has considerable experience in financing construction and expansion projects for schools.

Prior to joining Wachovia, Norris was a vice president in the Not-for-Profit Division of Riggs Bank in Washington, D.C. She also has been a commercial lender for SouthTrust Bank (now Wachovia), United Bank & Trust, and Sun Trust Bank, all in St. Petersburg, FL, and for Equitable Bank (now Bank of America) in Annapolis, MD.

Norris earned her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude in Finance, from Loyola College and her MBA, in Management, from Johns Hopkins University, both in Baltimore.

Active in her community, Norris serves on the Board and Finance Committee for the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut, based in Wilton, and is Treasurer of the Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Greenwich. Norris resides in Pound Ridge, NY with her husband and daughter.
