Michael C. Alston Of People's Bank Graduates From The National School Of Banking

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - Michael C. Alston, senior business analyst in the IT department, and Seymour resident, has graduated from the National School of Banking of America's Community Bankers on July 23rd.

Alston was one of 55 members of the Class of 2004 who took part in commencement ceremonies at the Regina Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University in Fairfield. The commencement address was delivered by William W. Zuppe, chairman of America's Community Bankers and president and chief executive officer of Sterling Savings Bank in Spokane, Washington.

America's Community Bankers represents the nation's community banks of all charter types and sizes. ACB members pursue progressive, entrepreneurial and service-oriented strategies to provide financial services that benefit their customers and communities. The National School of Banking consists of three ten-day resident sessions spread over two years. Students are also required to complete numerous intersession research assignments. More than 3,000 financial industry executives have graduated from the school since its founding in 1960.
