People's Bank Announces New First Vice President Financial Analysis

Bridgeport, Conn. - Christina Bliven, a seasoned financial professional with over two decades of experience in accounting and financial services, has joined People's Bank as first vice president, Financial Analysis, bank officials announced today.

Bliven, who was most recently controller at United California Bank in Los Angeles, will be responsible for management accounting, including profitability systems-related activities. She will report to Philip Sherringham, People's executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer.

Bliven was charged during her seven years at United California Bank with developing, implementing and managing the bank's profitability systems as well as the bankwide financial planning and analysis process. She later assumed responsibility for all aspects of the accounting department.

Prior to joining United California, Bliven was vice president and financial planning consulting manager at Fidelity Federal Bank in Glendale, Calif. She also worked with East-West Federal Bank in San Marino and Manhattan Beach Savings and Loan in Manhattan Beach. She began her career at KPMG in Los Angeles.

Bliven, who has a B.S. in business management from California Lutheran College in Thousand Oaks, is a certified public accountant. She is relocating to Connecticut with her husband and two children.
