![]() ![]() March 20, 2003Prospect Resident Receives CFP Designation BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - Francis Carpentier, a portfolio manager with Rocky Hill-based Olson Mobeck Investment Advisors, Inc., a subsidiary of People's Bank, has received the Certified Financial Planner designation from the Denver-based Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. The CFP designation is awarded to individuals who have met the board's education, examination and experience requirements and who are committed to high standards of ethical conduct. Carpentier currently is responsible for managing investment portfolios comprised of stocks, bonds, options and mutual funds for individuals, corporations, qualified retirement plans and nonprofit organizations. Carpentier began his career in asset management in 1987, working as an investment officer in the trust departments at both Lafayette Bank and Trust Company and Union Trust Company. In 1993, Carpentier moved to Fleet Investment Advisors, where he was vice president and senior investment specialist. He joined Olson Mobeck in 1998. Carpentier graduated from Quinnipiac College with a bachelor's degree in finance. He and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Prospect, where he is a member of the Republican Town Committee and serves as an alternate commissioner on the Town Planning and Zoning Commission.
