to Speak at Seminar in Plainfield

Branch Hosts Investment Seminar

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. - People's Securities, Inc., a subsidiary of People's Bank, will sponsor a free financial seminar called "Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds" at the bank's Plainfield office, 67 Lathrop Rd., on Monday, March 10, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Financial experts from People's will offer customers guidance on investing and retirement planning.

Renee Goupille, financial service manager, at the bank's Plainfield branch, will host the evening. Kaye Hathorn, a registered investment consultant at People's Securities, Inc., will discuss the roles different investment vehicles play in a portfolio.

"Stocks, bonds and mutual funds are all pieces of the investment puzzle," said Hathorn. "Our role as investment adviser is to suggest different vehicles that fit together and form a cohesive investment strategy based on the client's goals. We do this by sharing our expertise so consumers can make more informed decisions about their financial future."
