People's Offers Financial Seminar in Plainfield

Plainfield Branch to Host "Investing in Turbulent Times"

BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
People's Securities, Inc., a subsidiary of People's Bank, will sponsor a free financial seminar, "Investing in Turbulent Times," at its Plainfield office, 67 Lathrop Rd., on Monday, Jan. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Rene Goupille, financial service manager, People's Plainfield branch, will host the evening. Kaye Hathorn, a registered investment consultant at People's Securities, Inc., will introduce the featured speaker, Don McCaughey, from Eaton Vance, a family of mutual funds, and facilitate a question-and-answer session. McCaughey will discuss how understanding market history and focusing on timing and life cycle events can help consumers make informed investment decisions.

"The changes in tax laws, a turbulent stock market and an uncertain economy can make investing a complicated challenge for busy, working people," said Kaye Hathorn. "By offering seminars on topics such as investing and retirement planning, we can help consumers make more informed decisions about their financial future."

Seating for the Jan. 13 seminar is limited and reservations are suggested. Those interested in attending can make reservations by calling (860) 892-6473.
