![]() ![]() November 12, 2002People's Promotes Three Regional Banking Executives Focus on enhancing customer service and customer relationships
BRIDGEPORT, CONN Vincent Santilli and Sara Longobardi have been promoted to first vice president. Santilli, an 18-year veteran of People's Bank, is responsible for managing the bank's business development strategy and is responsible for growth initiatives in the bank's greater Fairfield County market. Longobardi has worked at the bank for 11 years and is responsible for customer relationship development at all 153 branches of Connecticut's largest state-chartered bank. Kevin Dougherty, who began his career at People's Bank while attending college, has been promoted to vice president, customer experience manager. He will oversee the bank's efforts to provide People's customers with a superior experience during every visit to branches in the Bridgeport, Shelton, Trumbull, Monroe and Stratford markets. A Trumbull resident, Santilli joined People's in 1984 in the Regional Banking Management Training Program. In 1991, he was promoted to sales vice president. In 1994, while managing the Stratford branch, he was promoted to vice president and area manager in the Bridgeport region. In 1999, he became the sales and service manager of what was then the Regional and Direct Banking division. Santilli's extensive list of community involvement includes serving as an advisory board member and chairman of the budget and finance committee of Catholic Family Services of Bridgeport;coaching Special Olympics soccer at the Kennedy Center;and serving on the President's Council of the United Visiting Nurses Association (VNA). In addition, he is entering his seventh season as co-host of the Pepsi College Basketball Report on WICC radio in Bridgeport. Santilli holds a bachelor's degree in economics and public policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's in business administration from Sacred Heart University. A resident of Orange, Longobardi joined People's in 1991 as audit supervisor and was promoted to vice president in 1993. In 1999, she joined the Regional Banking Division as vice president and manager in the Hartford market region. Most recently, she was in charge of the greater New Haven market. She has a bachelor's of science degree in finance from the University of Illinois. Dougherty, a Trumbull resident, began working at People's in 1983. He became a branch manager in 1987 and a Stop & Shop group manager in 1996. He was promoted to sales vice president in 1998, and in May 2002, he was named manager of the Milford market. Dougherty has served on various chamber boards including Hamden, Orange and West Haven and was a past board member of the Better Business Bureau of Connecticut. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in business administration from Quinnipiac University and a master's of science degree in management from Albertus Magnus College.
