People's Leadership Development Manager Addresses 'Leadership Positioning' At National Seminar

BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
Rondi Frey, manager, Leadership Development for People's Bank, presented a program about leadership positioning during a recent national executive conference.

The conference, sponsored by BT.Novations, a leader in leadership best practices and development, took place in Park City, Utah, and was attended by corporate executives who are implementing change and are seeking ways to measure the success of their leadership development efforts.

Frey's presentation, "Leadership Positioning at People's Bank," focused on People's achievement in developing a concept into an entire leadership curriculum. This leadership positioning has spread across the organization, as a platform for learning and development, especially in the creation of People's Corporate University, an in-house development and training department.

"I was asked to use People's leadership model as an example of best practices to help other executives understand the positive impact real leadership can have on an organization," said Frey. "I related our success in integrating our leadership training and the People's Corporate University concept across all media - into the classroom, on video-based training and through our online educational curriculum available to all employees on People's corporate Intranet site."

Frey has 20 years of experience in a wide variety of entrepreneurial organizations, including American Express, TRS Company, and MCI Telecommunications, and has been a guest lecturer at numerous conferences. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society of Training and Development.

At People's, she has been instrumental in the development of People's Leadership Competency Model, on which the bank's leadership training and development is based. She has extensive experience in organizational leadership diagnostic tools.

Frey is an adjunct faculty member at Sacred Heart University and Fairfield University where she facilitates a variety of adult continuing education programs in Human Resource Management, Organizational and Leadership Development. She lives in Trumbull, Conn., with her husband and two children.
