People's Bank Brings The Future Of Financial Services To Glastonbury

Invest, Insure, Borrow and Bank at People's Financial Center™in Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CONN.
There are many differences between the new People's Financial Center™ and a traditional bank branch. While touches like televisions tuned to financial news channels and a stock quote terminal certainly get the customers' attention, the biggest difference is found in the level of service provided to customers.

The People's Financial Center in Glastonbury, located at 3 Wells St., has not just a single teller line, but three separate service counters. And as customers enter, People's Bankers greet them and take time to discuss customers' current financial situations. Whether it's a credit card, investment, insurance, retirement planning or any of the myriad services People's offers, People's Financial Center in Glastonbury staff are committed to helping customers find financial services solutions tailored to meet individual needs.

To create the People's Financial Center in Glastonbury, the bank renovated an existing traditional branch;one that had served the people and businesses of Glastonbury since 1983. While there is still a teller counter where customers can conduct their banking, the People's Financial Center in Glastonbury also has a welcome desk, where customers can learn more about People's menu of products and services.

The People's Financial Center in Glastonbury also features an investment area where licensed investment representatives from People's Securities, Inc., People's brokerage subsidiary, offer customers as much or as little advice as they want in buying and selling securities.

"Anything and everything customers need to manage their finances can be found at People's Financial Center in Glastonbury," said Robert R. D'Amore, People's executive vice president, Marketing and Regional Banking. "This is a hands-on branch at which customers can get answers to any financial questions from experts on the premises."

In addition to financial services, People's is providing customers with some of the extras that go along with managing personal finances. The previously mentioned television monitors are tuned to stations that provide up-to-the-minute news and financial information for customers, including continuous stock tickers. In addition, a stock quote terminal is available for real-time stock quotes.

The Glastonbury office is the eighth People's Financial Center in the 150-branch People's network. People's also has Financial Centers in Avon, Monroe, Norwalk, Norwichtown, Shelton, Torrington and Trumbull.

"As a Glastonbury resident, I know firsthand the benefits of having a corporate neighbor such as People's Bank. Their dedication, not only to their customers, but to the communities they serve, is exemplary," State Rep. Sonny Googins said when asked about People's new office.

The People's Financial Center in Glastonbury is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday;9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday;and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The drive-up window is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday;8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday;and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
