People's Bank Mortgage Program
Honored by Connecticut Home Builders

BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
Despite the slowing economy, sales of new homes continue to run ahead of last year’s pace, and People’s Bank has been honored for helping people move into their dream houses.

The Home Builders Association of Connecticut has selected People’s Bank to receive its 2001 Home Building Industry (HOBI) Award for best subdivision loan package, the fifth straight year People’s has received that particular honor. The award will be presented at the HBA of Connecticut’s HOBI Awards dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Aqua Turf Country Club in Southington.

“We at People’s are grateful to the HBA of Connecticut for its recognition of our innovative and competitive products and our experienced mortgage professionals,” said Wayne C. Walker, first vice president, manager, Residential Lending.

The Home Builders Association of Connecticut is a statewide professional trade organization representing home builders, remodelers, developers and many subcontractors, suppliers and professionals who provide services to this diverse industry. The HBA of Connecticut has about 900 member companies organized through five local chapters covering the whole state.
