Can I open a new brokerage account online?
You can down load and print out the New Account Application online. You may complete it and bring it to one of the People's United Bank branches to open an account.

If I put a transfer through (brokerage to checking or vice versa) will it be same day?
If your request is entered before 10:30 a.m. it will be transferred to your account before the close of business on the same day. Any requests received after 10:30 a.m. will be transferred on the following business day before the close of business.
