MOVING ACCOUNT INFO TO OTHER PROGRAMS

What is "Exporting"?
You can share your checking account history with many spreadsheet, database and popular financial management packages, such as Intuit's Quicken(R) software and Microsoft Money(R), as long as the software can import text files in Comma Separated Value (CSV) or Quicken Finacial Exchange (QFX) formats.

How to export your account information
To create a CSV or QFX file from one of your checking account histories, just use the drop-down lists to select the accounts for which you would like to download a transaction. Enter the date range of account transactions to download or select the 'From' and 'To' calendar icons to choose a date range. Select the download format that you would like, choosing either Quicken (QFX) or Microsoft Money (OFX) formats. Click on Download to begin the process. Your computer may provide you with a notification screen warning you that you are about to download a file. This is a normal part of the process. Click OK to continue with the download. Note that the QuickBooks file format is not supported at this time.

Start your financial management or spreadsheet software, and follow their procedures for importing information in QFX or CSV format. Typically, this entails choosing FILE and then IMPORT on their main menu and then typing in the name & location of the file to import (i.e."c:tempCHECKING.QIF")

Once your account information has been imported, you can now use the various features of your software to analyze the data.
