Positive Pay

The availability of digital technology, color copies and personal computers has made it easier for criminals to create and negotiate fraudulent checks. Positive Pay is an effective tool used to help prevent check fraud. Deliver your check issue files to People's United prior to presentation of your checks for payment, and People's United will match each presented check to the issue file information. If a check does not match the issue file, People's United will contact you for your decision to pay or return that check.
