PHILIP R. SHERRINGHAM
Philip R. Sherringham

Philip R. Sherringham is chief executive officer and president of People's United Bank. In addition, Sherringham will continue in the role of chief financial officer until a successor is named.

Sherringham has extensive financial strategy and management experience gained at a number of sizeable financial institutions. He was instrumental in both shaping and helping execute People's United Bank's successful strategy over the past five years.

Prior to joining People's United in 2003, Sherringham served as executive vice president and CFO with United California Bank in Los Angeles. Previously, he was CFO at Citadel/Fidelity Federal Bank in Glendale, California, from 1991 to 1993, and prior to that was treasurer at Los Angeles-based CalFed Inc./California Federal Bank from 1989 to 1991. Earlier, he was senior vice president and director of financial services and previously served as director of corporate planning at Home Savings of America in Irwindale, California.

Sherringham has an undergraduate degree from Paris University and is a graduate of Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris. He completed the International Management Program offered in cooperation by New York University, the London Business School and Hautes Etudes Commerciales.

JOHN P. BARNES
John P. Barnes

John P. (Jack) Barnes is senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer for People's United Bank. He manages the Information Technology and Direct Banking and Operations divisions as well as Real Estate Services.

Barnes joined Chittenden Bank in 1983 as manager of Loan Review after five years with the FDIC - Boston. He became senior vice president and chief credit policy officer in 1988. In 1990 he was appointed division head of the Credit Policy and Administration division, which grew to include various support services areas. In 2002, Mr. Barnes was appointed executive vice president in charge of the newly formed Chittenden Services Group.

He is a graduate of Northeastern University and received his MBA from the University of Vermont.

DAVID A. BODOR
David A Bodor

David A. Bodor is executive vice president and chief credit officer of People's United Bank. He is responsible for all of the bank's commercial and retail credit policies and asset quality. Bodor chairs both the People's United Bank Credit Policy Committee and the newly established Senior Credit Committee, responsible for reviewing and approving over-limit transactions for the People's United family of banks. He also oversees the banks' appraisal management and commercial loan workout areas.

Before joining People's United Bank in 1996, Bodor spent four years with Centerbank as senior vice president, head of the Specialized Financial division. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, manager, credit administration, at First Constitution Bank. He also held numerous positions in the Commercial division of BankBoston Connecticut.

Bodor is a trustee of the Watertown Library Association.

A graduate of Moravian College with a bachelor's degree in economics, Bodor also earned a master's degree in international affairs from Boston University. He served as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army.

ROBERT R. D'AMORE
Robert R. D'Amore

Robert R. (Bob) D'Amore is senior executive vice president of the Retail and Small Business Banking group for People's United Bank. He oversees the activities of the bank's branch network as well as consumer deposit products and residential and consumer lending areas. D'Amore also directs the organization's community relations efforts.

A 27-year People's United veteran, D'Amore is focused on maintaining the success of the customer experience in People's United branches. He is responsible for the execution of People's United supermarket banking strategy - the most successful supermarket banking operation in the country.

Previously, D'Amore led Retail Investor Services, focusing on consumers' total financial needs from banking to financial planning and investments. D'Amore joined People's United Bank in 1981 as a management trainee. He worked as an assistant branch manager and branch manager in the Milford area until he became assistant vice president, Training and Development. In 1989, he was made vice president, Residential Lending, in the Hartford Region and in 1991, returned to Bridgeport to become first vice president and manager, Mortgage Sales and Marketing. In 1996, he was named senior vice president, manager, Hartford Region.

Prior to joining People's United Bank, D'Amore was a teacher in Milford and Hartford. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from Central Connecticut State University and completed the requirements for a sixth-year certificate in administration from Fairfield University.

D'Amore currently is a board member for the Bushnell Auditorium, the Greater Hartford Metro-Alliance and the Foundation of Catholic Schools Archdiocese of Hartford. He is also a member of the Foundation Board at Central Connecticut State University.

BRIAN F. DREYER
Brian F. Dreyer

Brian F. Dreyer is senior executive vice president, Commercial Banking at People's United Bank. He is responsible for all commercial and industrial lending and commercial mortgage loans. He also oversees correspondent banking and international services.

As head of the Commercial Banking division, Dreyer also directs the management of People's Capital and Leasing Corp., an equipment financing company based in Waterbury.

Dreyer joined People's United Bank in 1991. Previously he was executive vice president and senior lending officer at First Constitution, responsible for that bank's Commercial Lending and Commercial Mortgage divisions. Prior to leading the First Constitution lending operations, he spent 19 years as senior vice president and manager for commercial lending at BankBoston, Connecticut, where he managed cash management and workout departments as well as five commercial lending regions.

Dreyer graduated from Boston University in 1968 and is a U.S. Army veteran.

WILLIAM T. KOSTURKO
William T. Kosturko

William T. Kosturko is chief legal officer and general counsel of People's United Bank. He is responsible for the direction of the bank's legal operations and legislative affairs. He also oversees the audit, loan review, operational risk and business continuity functions at People's United.

Prior to joining People's United in 1991, Kosturko was executive vice president and general counsel at Society for Savings in Hartford. Previously, he was an associate at the law firm of Day, Berry & Howard.

He is chairman of the board of directors of the Regional Youth and Adult Substance Abuse Prevention program in the greater-Bridgeport area. Kosturko is a member of the board of directors of Connecticut Legal Services, a non-profit organization providing legal assistance to the poor throughout the state. He also is a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Bar Foundation and a member of the board of trustees of St. Joseph College in West Hartford.

Previously, Kosturko served as president of the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Hartford County; chairman of the Banking Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association; a director of both the Hartford Stage Company and of the Long Wharf Theatre; and chairman of the Connecticut State Elections Commission.

He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

HENRY R. MANDEL
Hank

Henry R. (Hank) Mandel is executive vice president, Organization Effectiveness, at People's United Bank. Mandel oversees human resources, workforce planning, talent management, employee strategy, learning and development, and corporate communications.

In 1998, Mandel came to People's United as first vice president responsible for divisional strategic planning, training, organization development, recruitment, human resources and quality assurance. In 1999, he was named senior vice president, Organization Effectiveness and Strategic Planning for the bank.

Prior to joining People's United, Mandel owned and operated Creative Counsel, a consulting firm that designed, implemented and managed product, brand and corporate positioning programs.

Mandel holds a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and a master's degree in social work and organization behavior from Rutgers University.

A long-time volunteer, Mandel is on the board of the Child Guidance Center of Greater Bridgeport; the New England Region board of directors for Inroads, a national minority-focused business internship program; and the Executive Committee of the board of directors, Fairfield Jewish Home for the Elderly.

LOUISE SANDBERG
Louise

Louise Sandberg is senior executive vice president of the Wealth Management group. Sandberg is responsible for People's Securities, Inc. retail brokerage; Chittenden Securities; the Wealth Management and Trust department; as well as insurance services, composed of RC Knox/Beardsley, Brown & Bassett and Chittenden Insurance Group.

Sandberg joined Chittenden Bank in 1977 as a customer service representative. Throughout her career, she has held positions of increasing responsibility including managing both community banking and business banking for Chittenden. Most recently, she was senior vice president, Personal Financial Management Services at Chittenden Bank.

She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont in Elementary Education and Psychology.

Sandberg is an active member in her community. She has served as a board member for Porter Hospital for the past ten years including two years as board chair. She also currently serves on the board for Addison County Home Health and Hospice.
