About Our Workplace
People's United takes pride in creating an inclusive environment where all employees participate in creating a "Workplace of Choice Partnership."

To foster this partnership, the bank conducts an organization wide "Workplace of Choice Partnership" survey every two years and collects feedback from employees, which results in enhancements to the work environment, employee learning and development programs, and work processes.

We also conduct a Diversity and Inclusion Assessment survey that focuses specifically on our employees' perceptions regarding diversity at People's United Bank. The results of this survey are used by the Diversity Steering Team both to plan future initiatives and to measure the results of the team's efforts over time.

People's United recognizes that a truly diverse workplace can only happen when our managers and leaders understand, appreciate and encourage the value of diversity with a particular focus on diverse employees and diverse thinking. To that end, People's United Corporate University offers a program for Managers' Certification that includes courses designed to educate managers on how to best attract, retain and develop talented employees.
