During an intensive six-month program you will learn how to build rapport with customers and staff, develop and manage staff and operate a branch, as well as be conversant in and sell a wide array of financial products and services. Training is a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. While in the program you will prepare to take exams to become certified to sell life insurance and mortgage products. You'll also enjoy networking with others in the program and developing relationships that will continue throughout your career at People's United. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be an Assistant Service Manager in one of our many branches, the first step on the ladder of a People's United management career.
Do you have high energy, a drive to succeed and enjoy working with people? Do you demonstrate sales ability and leadership skills? Have you supervised others and motivated them to drive for results? Are you a proven problem-solver and detail-oriented? In addition, to be considered, you should have a four-year college degree and a minimum of one year's relevant work experience or evidence of continuing education and a minimum of three years' relevant work experience. We are looking for people who are flexible and willing to work hours that can include some weekday evenings until 7:30 p.m. and some weekend days.
